The Parent Child Home Programme (PCHP) is an evidence based School Readiness Programme which focuses on “learning through play experience” for parents and their preschool children. PCHP employs specially trained local people as Home Visitors, to model verbal interaction for the parent and child. The Home Visitor meets the family twice a week, in their own home, for two short (1/2 hour) visits, during the (primary) school year. Home Visitors receive an initial 20 hours of training (unpaid) and following successful engagement in the training are required to undertake an application process to become a Home Visitor. Training will take place 24th / 25th / 26th October from 9.20-1pm at the National College of Ireland.
If you are interested in registering for the training or would like further information on this please contact Bernie Laverty, Family Matters Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 087 7487375
