Mental Health Supports
Heads Up is a programme for men in the Ballyfermot, Chapelizod and Cherry Orchard areas who want to develop their mental and physical health. The programme runs for 12 weeks while shorter 6 week ‘taster’ courses are also available. Topics covered include positive wellbeing, physical activity and raising awareness of other local services and supports. Participants in Heads Up will learn how they can manage their mental and physical wellbeing, make social connections and plan for the future. The BCP counselling service offers a confidential space where a trained therapist listens to you and helps you. Counselling involves a maximum of 6 one hour sessions to take place on Thursday or Friday mornings in BCP Offices, 4 Drumfinn Park. Ballyfermot. There is no charge to attend the counselling service. You can request a referral to counselling from your key worker (if you are already registered with BCP) or by dropping in to our offices to register. If after your 6 sessions you would like to continue with counselling our service can refer you to a low cost counselling service in the community.
