Supporting Community Groups
The BCP Community Development team can help you establish a new or strengthen your existing community group. BCP Community Development can also help with enquiries from groups of people who are passionate about a particular area or interest and who want to formalise the status of their group. The team are also asked by existing community groups to help them strengthen their committee structure, offer training in governance and how to run their group and clarify their vision and objectives. The team welcomes such enquiries and can assist by working with groups to develop key documents including constitutions, work plans and to clarify roles and responsibilities of committee members. We also support community groups to work with wider networks and groups to help influence local planning and change. If you would like to formalise the status of your group or strengthen your existing community group please contact Una on 01 623 5612
We have recently announced funding for local community groups. This can be found here.
Restorative Practices (RP) is based on the philosophy and principles of restorative justice, provide an underpinning ethos and philosophy for making, maintaining and repairing relationships and for fostering a sense of social responsibility and shared accountability. Restorative Practice can take many forms including using restorative language, having restorative conversations, holding circle time. Cherry Orchard Community Garden
Cherry Orchard Community Garden is supported by Ballyfermot Chapelizod Partnership as well as a group of enthusiastic and trained volunteers. As we’re a social enterprise all profits are re-invested back into our community garden. We grow fresh seasonal produce using traditional gardening techniques and do not use any artificial fertilisers. Our product range includes salad, kale, spinach, cherry tomatoes as well as a wide variety of herbs and a whole lot more. We’re passionate about sustainable, healthy, locally grown food that’s good for the neighbourhood and good for the planet!
